Most photographers make their money by charging the bride and groom for a certain amount of hours, a certain amount of pictures, and normally only include the pictures in their wedding albums taken without giving the bride and groom a CD with the pictures. The bride and groom normally have to reorder the prints through the photographer and will of course be charged more so than what the bride and groom would usually like to spend. With A.D.K.O.I. Photography, the bride and groom will receive the CD with all of the pictures taken and a release form to where the bride and groom can take care of all reprints at their time and leisure and may make copies for who ever they wish.
All of my packages include the engagement pictures (if not already taken care of), the wedding rehearsal (add an additional $100 if needed for rehearsal dinner), pre-wedding pictures (if applicable, and normally taken 2-3 hours prior to wedding), the wedding, after wedding portraits with families and bride and groom, and the reception.
Reception pictures include – Toasts, bride and groom dance and with parents, cutting of the cake, bouquet and garter toss, and any other event after the ceremony that the bride and groom may have in store for the guests.
Normally the photographer and the DJ will work together in trying to work through all of the events in a timely manner that way grandparents and all other guests that may need to leave early can be a part of the reception experience. After all events that the bride and groom may have in store that they want photographed, I will stay one hour after the events are finished and capture candid shots of the guests and dances that will be included in the bride and grooms wedding albums. An additional $100 an hour will be charged if the bride and groom would like for me to stay longer.
"How many pictures will I get", you may ask? That will all depend on everyone involved and in the wedding itself, the wedding rehearsal, and the reception. How many family members are there? Is there a reception and what events do you have planned at the reception? What kind of pictures do the bride and groom want? Amount of pictures vary from wedding to wedding, but on average I usually end up taking between 300 - 500 pictures. Again, not one wedding is normally ever the same.
Depending on how busy the photo lab that I use may be, on average, photographs are normally returned within 3 to 4 weeks, or less, from the wedding day. Depending on the circumstances, or agreement, photographs must be picked up at my studio. If you want them personally delivered to your home, it will cost $50.00-$100.00, depending on the location.
If you wish your photographs to be mailed; the shipping, the insurance, and the handling, must be paid before they are mailed off. A contract must also be signed stating that I, Michael Coles, will not be held liable if the photographs are lost or damaged when mailed using the US Postal Service.
