Misery Loves Co. – “Your Vision Was Never Mine to Share”
Hmm, pretty kool. Not every song on this album was my cup of tea, but I liked the distortion-laden vox and guitars throughout, making even the less likeable songs more tolerable for me. I really like the vocalist as well. He has a unique sounding voice. If you’ve never heard this band, I guess I’d have to say it’s sort of really heavy “alternative.” Maybe like what some people call “college music”, heh. I don’t know, I’m not into labels, but I did actually dig this CD a lot. The greatest moment on the album, is their extremely admirable cover of The Cure’s “Drowning Man.” If you’re at all a fan of old Cure stuff, this album is worth buying for that alone.
