Here’s a man that is loved by everyone (Heavy on the sarcasm!)!

My Scarlet Life is a band that I recently became familiar with thanks to S.S.B.H. opening up for them one night in Champaign, IL.

A dash of Samael, a ½ teaspoonful of KMFDM, a spoonful of Marilyn Manson, a hint of Morbid Angel, a bit of black metal (mainly in the vocal department), and if you mix them in a blender, the results might sound like The Kovenant.

Skyclad, if for some strange reason you didn’t already know, is a band that is fronted by Martin Walkyier, the same individual that fronted the now defunct Sabbat.

The last time I saw them practice (2 years ago in Mexico) they pretty much reminded me of a Mexican In Flames.

I tried really hard to get an interview with King Diamond, but had no luck. I was going to use an interview that Bill Zebub conducted in one of his issues, but decided to use this instead.

This was a very interesting interview (or lack of), to say the least. It happened during the Milwaukee Metal Festival this past summer.

Rackets and Drapes is a band that I’m not really familiar with, or like for that matter.

There really isn’t much I want to say about Evol, except for that they play atmospheric, keyboard infested mid-paced black metal.

Possession is a band that definitely has a sound of their own. I remember meeting them in ’92 at Cornerstone and was really impressed with heir musicianship, especially the King Diamond style vocals, meaning that he is very diverse and has an excellent falsetto.
