This is an eclectic comeback of 80’s thrash, punk and rock/blues. “Word to the Wise” is a mellower track. Rob Cavestany (guitars) on vocals turns in a soulful performance. On “Land of Blood” bassist Dennis Pepa “sings” and is nothing special with the macho shouted stuff. On “Spirit” drummer Andy Galeon “sings”. His vocals are whiny. The song is faster, mid-paced rock. The riffs are pretty generic, but the speed is supposed to hide that. “No” is straight up punk rock. Mark Osegueda sings here and on all the other tracks. “Thicker than Blood” is also punk; trying to be fast, but sounds a bit weak. Needs more bite. “Thrown to the Wolves” is old-school thrash: energetic, but the guitars sound thin. The drumming is pretty punk, also.
