Mistress – “In Disgust We Trust”
Very simple here: dirty, raw heavy punk that sounds drunk and noisy, screaming, unpleasant and unpolished. This band involves people from Anaal Nakrath (or whatever that damned band is called). Unlike that band, this is not tight and it’s not fast. Sure, there’s actually quite a bit of blasting, but it’s not very tight. This is not grind if by grind you mean Napalm Death or Lock Up because this is more street, much drunker, kind of sloppy, which makes it, again, more punk than anything. There is some clean singing, but only in a brief moment. The blasting parts are kind of cool, but overall, this is not tight enough and fast to get me interested. Plus, it sounds like a project, too. The guitar work is simply not that interesting, which would be helped by some speed, but there’s not that much of that. Only for fans of raw, sloppy, heavy punk with growled vocals and screaming. Example, they have songs called “Alcohole” and “Whiskey Tastes Better.” Get the picture?
