Wonderful raw, primitive death/black metal that takes its inspiration from early Venom and Hellhammer, and probably early Death, early Sodom, early Destruction and Death Strike. Totally tortured vocals that please those of us who think Tom G. Warrior’s vocals in Hellhammer were genius. The vocals made me think of Death Strike a lot, too. The sound is savage, like it was recorded in a cave. Cool! The drumming is primitive and with that special intermittent double kick. It’s not blasting or speedy per se, but fast and often mid-paced, played with more feeling than speed. The guitars are death metal chainsaws and have a low, grinding quality to them. The bass rumbles, and pretty loudly. For fans of early-style, primitive death/black. It’s too bad that this lasts only 13 minutes and it’s only 5 songs. I definitely want to hear more songs like “Total Devotion,” “Straight Way to Hell,” “On the Threshold of the Unseen,” “Cult in the Age of Aquarius” and “Demonic Possession.” There is no website/contact address given (how appropriate).
