Sentenced – “Down”
This is an album that makes you go Hmmm…. This is not the same SENTENCED that released “Shadows of the Past”, “North From Here”, “The Trooper”, or even “Amok” ! New vocalist, same progressive music, but definitely not the same SENTENCED some of you might remember them by. I have to admit, I am not or never have been a SENTENCED fan, but I know who they are and know what they sounded like in the past. To all who like progressive and classic heavy metal with some really good solos, you might like this, well if your open minded enough to accept the fact that they changed beyond belief! Let us say they are going on a path like AMORPHIS. They should have changed there name in my opinion, like all the rest of the bands who change so drastically. Any ways, all old fans with a closed mind who hated “Amok” will truly hate this one! All new comers may like this release who have never heard there older material. As for me, I’m still not a fan.
