Seraph – “Awakened”
When I put this disc in and heard the violin in it, I thought it was going to be a great atmospheric death metal band, boy was I wrong. It’s a cross between doom with I guess just older metal influence. Progressive metal I’ll call it. The vocals reminded me of Mr. Wino (THE OBSESSED) a tad bit at times. The music is pretty cool and it’s a weird mix with the violin. This is a band you’ll either like, hate, or don’t have an opinion about. My opinion? It’s different.
