Cool title, he, he. At first, I was a bit skeptical after listening to this release. The first song, “Handmade God”, totally reminded me of a newer Paradise L. song. Like most of the bands who would be considered “different” in the metal scene, (Paradise L., Amorphis, Sentenced, etc..) and by this I mean they don’t like to stay in one place musically. Moonspell has once again changed in sound somewhat. Some might like this change, due to the strong resemblance to Type-O-N., especially in the vocal dept., others will just pass this off as another wanna-be. There were only like 2 songs that had the aggressive vocals like on the previous. This album is still in the “gothic” realm of things, but it’s actually less-than the previous. But the solos are definitely metal sounding. This one sounded a lot more metal to me I think. Any way, if you like moody music with a dark feel, check it out, it’s definitely worth a listen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
